About Us

Proud co-founder of A & K Animal Rescue

Adoniah Hronis

Adoniah Hronis is the proud co-founder of A & K Animal Rescue, a nonprofit she runs alongside her younger brother, Kosta. Together, they rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals of all kinds — from dogs and cats to mules, pigs, tortoises, and even rescue fish. The organization currently cares for over 90 animals and continues to grow through community support, donations, and hands-on care.

Ado

Adoniah helps manage daily animal care, documents rescue stories, and paints to help fundraise for the nonprofit. She and Kosta have created dozens of animal bios, participated in emergency rescues, and continue to be the heart behind the mission: From Lost to Loved. Together, We Rescue.

In addition to her work as an animal rescuer, Adoniah is an extraordinary professional artist and community leader who has been making waves in the art world since the age of 6. Her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft have earned her numerous accolades, including prestigious first-place awards in professional categories.

Her vibrant artwork has captivated a wide range of clients, from doctors and professional golfers to local collectors, with many commissioning her one-of-a-kind pieces to bring inspiration and energy into their spaces.

Adoniah also serves as a youth ambassador for her local homeless shelter, where she and her brother donated 16 large-scale paintings to brighten the facility. They have actively contributed to fundraising efforts, with their artwork being auctioned for over $10,000 — 100% of which was donated to support shelter residents and children in need.

This year, Adoniah’s impact extended even further when she was awarded a California state grant to provide art education in a grammar school district in her hometown. Through this initiative, she taught art lessons to over 6,000 students across nine elementary schools, provided all necessary supplies, and hosted live art exhibitions at each campus. Her passion for creativity, combined with her gift for teaching, has inspired countless young students to explore their artistic potential.

Beyond her passion for art and animals, Adoniah is a classically trained ballet dancer studying with the Royal Academy of Dance, where she continues to develop her technical and performance skills. She is also a singer, piano composer, and is homeschooled — giving her the flexibility to pursue her many creative and compassionate endeavors.

Co-founder of A & K Animal Rescue

Kosta Hronis

Kosta Hronis is the co-founder of A & K Animal Rescue, a nonprofit organization he runs alongside his older sister, Adoniah. As the operations lead for the rescue, Kosta takes pride in managing the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the nonprofit running smoothly. He participates in business meetings, works alongside a licensed accountant to maintain the organization’s financial records, and oversees the creation of A & K’s merchandise — all of which helps support the care of more than 90 animals currently living at the rescue. His leadership plays a vital role in advancing their mission: From Lost to Loved. Together, We Rescue.

Kosta

Kosta is currently collaborating with a California state congressman to plan an ambitious adoption event in partnership with the local animal shelter, where the goal is to get 100 dogs adopted in just three days. His passion for animal welfare continues to drive exciting and creative community events that bring people together for a cause.

Kosta is also an exceptional third-generation professional painter whose talent emerged at a remarkably young age. At just 7 years old, he was commissioned by his city to create a captivating sixteen-piece series for a local homeless shelter. Not only did he paint the full series, but he also participated in the initial business meetings, confidently presenting his vision to city leaders — showcasing his clarity and maturity beyond his years. As a youth ambassador for the shelter, Kosta painted live at a fundraising event in front of more than 250 attendees. One of his paintings was auctioned for $2,000, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting homeless individuals and children in need.

Kosta is also an award-winning artist in the professional category. He and Adoniah hosted a joint art exhibition attended by over 300 community members, with the goal of inspiring kids their age to explore painting. Together, they provided free literature to help educate and motivate young people to engage in the arts.

Beyond his work in art and animal rescue, Kosta is a highly disciplined athlete. He actively trains in jiu-jitsu and wrestling, and also studies martial arts under a professional dancer and trained martial artist who toured for over a decade with pop legend Madonna. Kosta is also a trained marksman, practicing regularly with licensed instructors. His precision — especially in long-range shooting — has inspired him to one day compete in shooting sports.

Kosta is also a passionate musician, studying private piano and voice lessons under the instruction of renowned performers, including a Top 10 finalist from American Idol and the runner-up from The Voice. He and Adoniah are both actively involved in their church, where Kosta regularly volunteers by assisting with worship services.
