Meet Avery

Avery was rescued alongside her mama, Joy, and her sister, Anna, after the little family was found wandering beside one of Kern County's busiest highways. With traffic racing past, every moment was dangerous.

Thanks to the quick actions of a kind stranger and one of the A & K dads, Avery was safely rescued before tragedy could strike.

At A & K Animal Rescue, Avery finally experienced what every puppy deserves: a full belly, a safe place to sleep, and people who loved her from the very beginning.

Her scary start in life quickly became a story of hope, proving that sometimes all it takes is one person willing to stop and help.
