We received the call from our local animal shelter about four tiny puppies who had just been picked up by animal control. Sadly, their mama had escaped — and only the puppies were recovered. Still fully dependent on her milk, they were hungry, fragile, and in need of 24-hour care with feedings every 2–3 hours.

Without hesitation, we brought them into A & K and began our puppy care routine — bottle feeding, snuggling, keeping them warm, and praying for a miracle.

And that miracle came.

Just two days later, animal control successfully located and captured the mama dog! The shelter called us right away, and we rushed the pups back to be reunited with their mother. The moment they saw her, everything changed. She immediately began nursing, and the puppies settled in like they’d never been apart.

After their reunion, the whole little family was taken in by a local animal rescue center — together, safe, and loved.

This was one of those rescues that reminded us why we do what we do.
