Bow is one of our oldest and most special dogs because she was rescued by our parents before we were even born! Our mom has always rescued animals, and one day, she brought home two stray dogs. A few months later, surprise! One of them had puppies—born on our dad’s birthday! 

Now, here’s where it gets funny… Our mom loves fat animals, so she picked the chubbiest puppy in the litter. Her sister, who is a doctor, took a quick look and said, “It’s a boy!” So Mom named him Jumbo—Bo for short.

Fast forward five weeks… and Jumbo was NOT a boy. �� So, she became Bow—like a hair bow. And get this—Adoniah’s first word was Bow! (Her second was Mama… priorities, right?)

Now at 13 years old, Bow is the mom figure to all of our rescues. She keeps the peace, teaches the puppies how to behave, and welcomes every new animal into our pack with love. From a tiny, chubby puppy to the heart of A & K Animal Rescue, Bow has always been exactly where she belongs. ❤️
