JJ was 13 years old when we found him on our local shelter’s adoption page. Adoniah noticed right away that he was the oldest dog in the entire shelter — and we knew instantly he belonged with us. So, we loaded up the car and drove an hour each way to bring him home to A & K Animal Rescue.

JJ was the absolute best boy. He was completely obsessed with toys — especially balls. He carried one everywhere: in the yard, in the house, even while sleeping! No matter what he was doing, he always had a toy in his mouth.

JJ has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but he spent his final chapter surrounded by a big, furry family, lots of love, and a toy always close by. We were honored to give him the joyful retirement he deserved.
