This sweet pup came from a litter of 10 newborn puppies, born inside a loud, crowded city shelter where their overwhelmed mama was struggling to care for them. With the stress, noise, and risk of illness all around, their chances of survival weren’t great — until the shelter reached out to A & K Animal Rescue for help.

We welcomed the entire litter and their anxious mama into our care, giving them a warm, quiet space to rest and grow. It didn’t take long for Mama Dog to calm down and begin nursing her babies the way nature intended.

We had the joy of watching this little one grow from a tiny, closed-eyed newborn into a curious, playful pup with a whole future ahead. And when the time was right, this puppy — along with all of its siblings — was Adopted into a loving forever home.
