Meet Nika

For years, Nika lived tied up in a front yard on a four foot leash. Her world was small, and her freedom was limited.

One day, a neighbor decided Nika deserved more. She stepped in, got Nika to safety, and contacted A & K Animal Rescue. Of course, we immediately said yes.

From the moment Nika arrived, she was an absolute doll. Despite everything she had experienced, she was sweet, loving, and ready to be loved right back.

It took some time to find Nika's forever home, but now we know exactly why. One of A & K Animal Rescue's own board members fell in love with her and decided to make Nika part of the family.

Today, Nika has a sister named Eska, room to run, and an entire world to explore. We get to watch videos of her playing in the snow, going on adventures, and living a life that once seemed so far away.

Nika's world used to be four feet long. Now, there is no limit to how far she can go.
