Meet Pooh

Pooh and nine other tiny puppies came to A & K Animal Rescue through our local shelter's foster program after losing their mama.

The shelter gave these little ones a chance, but newborn puppies require around the clock bottle feedings, constant care, and a quiet place to grow. With so many animals depending on them every day, the shelter knew these puppies would have the best chance in a foster home.

That's where A & K stepped in.

For several weeks, Pooh and the litter were bottle fed, kept warm, and surrounded by the love and care they needed to grow into healthy, playful puppies. Once they were old enough and strong enough, the puppies returned to the shelter, where each one eventually found a forever family.

Sometimes the greatest gift a rescue can give is simply being a safe place to grow.

Every puppy deserves a chance to become someone's best friend.
