Dog

Rousey

Adopted

One day, Kosta, Adoniah, and their dad told Mom they were heading to the pet store to pick out one large goldfish. A & K has two big rescue aquariums, and there was room for one more — simple plan, right?

Well… not exactly.

When they arrived, the local animal shelter just happened to be holding an adoption drive outside. And right there, sitting in her kennel, was Albina — one of our former Dog mama dogs.

Her puppies had all been Adopted quickly (because they were adorable), but Albina had been overlooked again and again. With her striking albino eye and big energy, most people passed her by without a second thought.

But when Albina saw Kosta and Adoniah, she instantly lit up — tail wagging, full-body wiggles — she remembered her rescuers. It was clear: she knew she belonged with them. And the kids knew too.

They couldn’t leave her behind.

But the story didn’t stop there. Right next to Albina were two Belgian Malinois sisters — incredibly smart, high-energy, and famously intense.

Malinois are known for their elite skills:

● Used by military and police around the world

● Capable of parachuting with handlers

● Expert scent detectors and protection dogs

● Agile, focused, and built to work

These two girls needed a home with experience, patience, and a lot of stimulation — and most adopters weren’t ready for the challenge.

But Adoniah and Kosta stepped up — and welcomed them both into the A & K family. They named them Ronda and Rousy, a perfect fit for their bold and beautiful spirits.

And yes — they still picked up two large goldfish, too.

So instead of just one fish, the crew came home with:
Albina, Ronda, Rousy, and two goldfish.

They are now banned from going to the pet store alone, but let’s be honest — this was one of the best "goldfish trips" ever.
