Snow and Sugar’s story began on a busy street in town, where they were found dodging traffic and clearly in distress. Luckily, our mom’s cousin — a fellow animal lover — happened to be driving by. She and her husband didn’t hesitate. They pulled over, scooped up the two frightened dogs, and immediately called us at A & K Animal Rescue.

These two little white pups were a matted, flea-covered mess, but with our donors support, we were able to send them to the groomer for full baths, flea treatment, and a much-needed fresh start. They stayed in the care of our cousin while we searched for the perfect forever home — one that would keep them together.

That’s when we met a sweet elderly woman who had been hoping to find companions. When she met Snow and Sugar, it was instant love. She didn’t hesitate to adopt both dogs, ensuring they’d never be separated again.

Now, Snow and Sugar are living their best lives — loved, protected, and still side by side.
