Sweetie was 15 years old when her owner passed away. Suddenly, at 15, she had nowhere to go. Extended family was trying to help, but they couldn't keep her, and A & K was contacted. Within 24 hours, you arranged to have Sweetie transported to you. When she arrived, you realized she was extremely overweight and wasn't feeling or moving her best. But you were also very clear in the earlier story that Sweetie had been deeply loved. She wasn't coming from a bad home. She was an elderly animal who had lost her person and needed someone to take over her care.

She quickly made herself at home, earned the nickname Teletubby, and what was supposed to be a rescue placement turned into her forever home with A & K. Over time, she lost weight, started moving better, and became healthier. And apparently, one thing did not change: she loves treats.
