Meet Willow

Willow came to A & K Animal Rescue with her 10 tiny puppies through our local shelter's foster program.

The entire family was struggling in the shelter environment. The puppies were stressed and not eating well, and Mama was stressed too. In situations like this, our local shelter does a fantastic job recognizing when a foster home may give a family a better chance to thrive.

That's where A & K came in.

Willow and her 10 babies came home with us, where they could rest, eat, and grow in a quieter environment. Willow did an amazing job caring for her puppies, and slowly, the entire family began to thrive.

All 10 puppies survived!

We watched them grow into healthy, happy, playful puppies ready to begin the next chapter of their lives and find forever families of their own. Sometimes rescue is simply giving an animal the environment they need at exactly the right time.

For Willow and her 10 babies, a safe place made all the difference.
